Deckchair Cinema at The Polygon Gallery

What: The Polygon Gallery has announced the return of Deckchair Cinema starting on Thursday, July 3, on Lower Lonsdale’s waterfront deck.
Hosted in partnership with presenting sponsor Rogers Communications, the open-air film series will feature music and entertainment, drinks from Strathcona Beer Company, and more.
When: Every Thursday from July 3 to Aug. 28, 2025

Khatsahlano Street Party 2025
What: One of the city’s largest free music and arts festivals, Khatsahlano will take place on Saturday, July 5, between Burrard Street and Macdonald Street.
There’s sure to be something for all musical tastes, with over 60 artists to discover throughout the #CampKhats themed summer party. You’ll want to check out the MacDonald Stage, presented by Daily Hive and Third.Space, which will showcase powerhouse performer Missy D, folk alt-rockers Shred Kelly, rising indie-pop group Cherry Pick, and more.

Playland 2025
What: There are over 30 rides and attractions to enjoy at Vancouver’s favourite amusement park, ranging from family-fun rides to extreme, heart-racing attractions.
Prepare yourself for the sky-high Atmosfear, the timeless Wooden Roller Coaster, and of course, The Beast — the massive pendulum that stands 12 storeys tall and swings at speeds of 90 km/h.
You’ll be working up an appetite with all there is to see and do at Playland this year, so it’s a good thing the park is serving up fan favourites like hot dogs, mini donuts, and more!

Symphony at Sunset 2025

What: Who doesn’t love a free summer concert? One of Vancouver’s most beloved summertime traditions, Symphony at Sunset, is back at Sunset Beach Park this July for its sixth year. The annual event brings together the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and hundreds of beach-goers for a magical evening of live orchestral music surrounded by stunning city and ocean views.

The Perfect Bite
What: Time to pick up your magnifying glass, detectives! An official Netflix murder mystery dinner is coming to Vancouver, and you’re invited to take a bite out of crime.
Secret City Adventures is collaborating with Netflix on the event, which will see guests watching a murder case unfold while deciphering clues. Of course, they will also enjoy a delicious dinner that is simply to die for.

What: Summertime was made for outdoor concerts, and Whistler is offering a stunning backdrop for both artists and music lovers this year.

FVDED in the Park 2025
What: One of Western Canada’s largest music festivals, FVDED in the Park returns this summer with a stacked lineup.

Themed Dining Experiences at Sula Indian Restaurants

Summer Movie Nights on the Square
What: Every Thursday evening from July 3 to Aug. 14, Downtown Van will inflate a large 33-foot screen in šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énḵ Square at the north plaza of the Vancouver Art Gallery for the family-friendly Summer Movie Nights.
This summertime tradition will see a massive crowd of moviegoers watch their favourite flicks under the stars. Activities start at 5 p.m., so there will be plenty of fun before the screening starts.

Wu-Tang Clan
What: American hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan will play Vancouver’s Rogers Arena in June with special guests Run the Jewels.
Considered by many to be the greatest hip-hop group of all time, the band has sold over 40 million albums to date and hits include “C.R.E.A.M. (Cash Rules Everything Around Me)” and “Protect Ya Neck.”

What: Fairmont Pacific Rim’s Pac Rim Patio has returned for the summer season. What’s even more exciting is that it’ll be launching in collaboration with 33 Acres Brewing Co.
Located on the hotel’s front plaza, guests will enjoy great waterfront views alongside thirst-quenching brews, tasty bites, and a lineup of summer events.
This year, guests will be able to enjoy made-to-order tacos in varieties like chicken tinga with lime crema and queso cheese, slow-braised beef with pickled red onions, and crispy cauliflower with cilantro. These can all be paired with a selection of 33 Acres’ small-batch favourites, including its popular Sunshine French Blanche and 33 Acres of Life California Common.
