The Lantern City

What: Celebrate the Year of the Horse with LunarFest and discover the many stories at The Lantern City.

Guests are invited to take a walk through five different locations in downtown Vancouver and on Granville Island to see dozens of lanterns created by artists of diverse cultural backgrounds.

Nature Work Parties

What: Help remove invasive plants and clean up litter at various parks in Surrey this winter. Tools and training will be provided, and all ages are welcome.

Nature Work Parties are drop-in, rain or shine, though events may be cancelled in high winds or extreme weather conditions. Participants are also asked to wear appropriate clothing for outdoor winter activities.

Vancouver Giants

What: The Vancouver Giants continue the WHL season this week at the Langley Events Centre with games including the Spokane Chiefs on Friday, Feb. 6, and the Kamloops Blazers on Saturday, Feb. 7.

H Tasting Lounge’s Winterlust

What: Winterlust is once again taking over the stunning H Tasting Lounge’s patio. The event consists of five private translucent domes decorated with seasonal evergreen elements and Alpine-themed accents. Visitors will also enjoy views of the North Shore mountains and Coal Harbour.

Each dome can accommodate up to six guests and is fully equipped with heaters and fresh-air circulation to keep things nice and cozy. Additionally, each dome has an independent sound system so you can enjoy your own tunes while dining.

Museum of Personal Failure

What: The Museum of Personal Failure, a community art project showcasing artifacts of the contributors’ perceived failures, will remain open until Monday, Feb. 9.

Artifacts on display range from unfinished art pieces to abandoned albums to rejection letters from jobs and past lovers. There is a half-built bicycle, handwritten notes, and more pieces being added throughout the run.

Saturday Night Laughs with The Comedy Department

What: The Comedy Department brings the laughs to The Show Cellar every Saturday night. The award-winning improvisers have appeared on Amazon Prime, Disney+, Netflix, and more and will use audience suggestions to create hilarious scenes right on the spot.

Vancouver World Chef Exchange — Chef Wilfrid Hocquet at Boulevard Kitchen and Oyster Bar

What: If you’re looking for something delicious to do next month, look no further. The 10th annual Vancouver World Chef Exchange is returning with a lineup of Michelin Guide-recognized teams from across the globe joining forces with much-loved Vancouver restaurants.
