Fall weather is in full swing in Metro Vancouver, and while rain is back in the forecast, this week still has bright spots to look forward to.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), an approaching system will bring showers starting on the night of Tuesday, Oct. 13, and continuing into Wednesday morning.
However, skies will clear by mid-week, and the rest of the shortened workweek will be sunny.

“Thursday and Friday are two beautiful warm days, with temperatures above seasonal,” explained Morgen Shull, ECCC meteorologist.
“The average seasonal high for this time of year is 14 degrees. On Thursday, we’re looking at a high of 17°C and 21°C inland, and on Friday, temperatures will reach 18°C and 22°C inland.”
However, Shull added that another broad upper-level low is pumping moisture into the region by the start of the weekend.
“Friday is going to see precipitation pushing into the region. It will clear out on Saturday, and Sunday should be a decent day. But rain is coming back in on Sunday night.”

ECCC
According to ECCC, weekend daytime highs will reach 15°C on Saturday and 14°C on Sunday.
Overnight lows are dipping once again, with a forecasted temperature on Saturday night of 7°C and 9°C on Sunday.
