8 Adorable Vancouver-Themed Valentine's Day Cards You'd Get Lucky With

Dec 19 2017, 5:35 pm

A Vancouver freelance copywriter is hoping to spread the love this Valentine’s Day with unique Vancouver-themed cards. Carla Bragagnini believes there is a market in saying “I love you,” the Vancouver way.

“There are so many online cards out there, but there is something really nice about physically handing out cards, especially on Valentine’s Day,” said Bragagnini. “Vancouverites have a good sense of humour; we don’t take ourselves very seriously. Even though our population is pretty diverse, we have all these inside jokes that bring us together as a city. I wanted to make a set of fun Valentine’s Day cards that played off of that.”

The set includes 8 different single-sided cards, similar to the cards you might remember handing out at school, in order to encourage distributing them to friends, coworkers and not just to a romantic partner.

The cards feature cartoons with prompts that only Vancouverites would understand. They highlight characteristics, icons and sites of this city, including the seawall and the Grouse Grind.

Get the cards in time for Valentine’s Day!

The cards can be ordered online at www.carlawrites.com and they typically take at least 3-days to arrive within the Metro Vancouver area. They can also be shipped to Vancouver ex-pats anywhere in Canada with a delivery time of about 5 days.

For those who prefer to do their shopping offline, the cards are available for sale at Kim Prints in Gastown (41 Powell Street).

“Baby, I’d be a wreck without you.”
