Flights will run six days a week, Sunday through Friday, from YVR’s South Terminal, giving travellers a direct ticket to the Cariboo without the 10-hour drive.
To kick things off, the airline is offering 20 per cent off flights between Quesnel and any other destination in its B.C. network.
Just use promo code YQZ20 before Aug. 6 to save on trips between Oct. 30 and March 8, 2026. (Heads up: holiday blackout dates apply.)
Base fares start around $130 from Vancouver and $181 from Victoria, making this a solid option for leaf-peepers, history buffs, and anyone craving a quieter kind of B.C. escape.
With Quesnel on board, Pacific Coastal now serves 19 destinations across the province, the most of any airline operating in B.C.
If you’re in the Lower Mainland, this new route makes exploring the Cariboo that much more achievable.
Perched at the meeting point of the Fraser and Quesnel Rivers, the town is known for its gold rush roots, deep sense of community, and love of the outdoors.
Heritage walking tours, Indigenous culture, forested trails, and a surprisingly vibrant food and arts scene await tourists.
In the summer, locals are out fishing, golfing, or hitting the water. In winter, it’s all about snowshoeing, skating, and cross-country skiing. And unlike city life, you won’t be spending half your day stuck in traffic. Locals say they trade gridlock for lake views, and they’re not kidding, according to the Tourism Quesnel website.
Flights will operate through YVR’s South Terminal, with easy connections to and from other Pacific Coastal spots like Comox, Powell River, and Kelowna.
Ready to explore B.C.? @PacificCoastal launches 6x weekly flights to Quesnel beginning October 30th! Get ready for the incredible autumn colours of our province this fall. 🍂 https://t.co/ZAGHahXXNw
