See the Vancouver comedy turning cheesy holiday rom-coms on their heads

The holidays may be the most stressful time of the year, but Vancouver TheatreSports (VTS) is here to bring you some LOL-iday cheer with Merry Kissmass – A Royal Romance.

Follow Meaghan Sparkle (pun intended) as her whirlwind romance turns into, you guessed it, a royal romance. Packed with clichés from all your favourite holiday TV specials and feature films, VTS brings them to life on stage at The Improv Centre on Granville Island.

Will Meaghan Sparkle fit in with her new royal relatives? Will her prince be disinherited? Will the magic of Christmas work in their favour so that there is a ha-ha-happy ever after?

Whatever happens is up to you, the audience, as with any VTS show. Audience participation is encouraged but never mandatory.

You can unwind with this laugh fest from November 20 to December 24, every Wednesday through Saturday at 7:30 pm. Plus there are also four matinee performances:

• Sunday, December 15 at 11:30 am
• Saturday and Sunday, December 21 and 22 at 11:30 am
• Tuesday, December 24 at 2 pm
