Vancouver's September forecast is out with a familiar weather pattern returning
The Vancouver forecast for September is out, and you’ll want to soak up the sunshine while you can.
Environment and Climate Change (ECCC) is calling for a 40 per cent chance of rain showers, which are set to return as early as Tuesday evening.
However, periods of rain are expected for Wednesday, before things dry out for the long weekend.
According to ECCC meteorologist Chloe Katsademas, this is a pattern that Metro Vancouver will see throughout the first half of the month.

“September will see similar flow patterns, with a few days of improvement followed by a few days of showers,” said Katsademas.
“While it should be clear to start the weekend, there is still a chance of showers due to continuous troughing, cooler air and moisture. And looking ahead from Sunday to Tuesday, there is another system coming.”
ECCC’s Canadian Climate Normals data shows that the daily average high temperature in September for Vancouver is close to 19°C, with overnight lows down to 12°C. The month also averages 71.4 mm of rainfall.

The Vancouver forecast for the first weekend of the new month remains warm, with a daytime high of up to 20°C on Sept. 4 and 5, and 22°C on Sept. 6.

Some parts of B.C. completely skipped fall and went straight to winter, with two major ski resorts in the province receiving a dump of late-August snow.
Panorama Mountain Resort in the Purcell Mountains exclaimed that “Mother Nature couldn’t wait for opening day either,” showing off photos from their mountain-top cameras of a sudden winter wonderland.
Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in Golden was not to be outdone, declaring that the “first snow has entered the chat.”
