Vancouver police officer tests positive for coronavirus

A member of the Vancouver Police Department has tested positive for COVID-19, VPD spokesperson Tania Visintin has confirmed.

Visintin told Daily Hive on Tuesday that the affected person “is doing well and recovering at home and is receiving ongoing support from the Department.”

Those who were in close contact with this member are currently self-isolating at home as a precaution, she added.
