The Vancouver Police Department is appealing for witnesses to come forward with dashcam video in connection to a South Vancouver shooting that killed 23-year-old Iqubal Grewal.

According to VPD, Grewal — a Vancouver resident — was found dead in front of a house near Knight Street and East 64th Avenue around 7:30 pm on September 16. Police say Grewal’s murder was targeted and related to gang activity. Investigators say a burned-out GMC Terrain discovered in Richmond shortly after the murder is also related to the case.

In a release, VPD Cst. Tania Visintin said “investigators are making progress in this case and are thankful for the video they have received from the public so far. Their investigation has led them to ask for additional video in a new area.”

Police are looking for drivers with dashcam video from September 16 captured between 7 and 8 pm in the area of Westminster Highway between Knight Street and Nelson Road in Richmond.

Anyone with additional information or dashcam video from the specified area at the specified time is asked to call investigators at 604-717-2500.
