23-year-old man identified as victim of South Vancouver shooting

Police have identified the victim of Wednesday evening’s shooting in South Vancouver as 23-year-old Iqubal Grewal.

According to VPD, Grewal — a Vancouver resident — was found dead in front of a house near Knight Street and East 64th Avenue near 7:30 pm.

“Investigators have determined the vehicle used in connection to the murder – a GMC Terrain – was burned out in Richmond,” said VPD Const. Tania Visintin, in a release. “We believe there are people out there who have information on this incident and we are urging them to come forward.”

Investigators are also looking for dashcam video from any vehicles that were near Knight Street and East 64th or in the area of Kartner Road and Westminster Highway in Richmond, between 6:30 and 8:30 pm on Wednesday evening.
