You can get two-for-one admission at the PNE, but there's a catch
If you’re looking to save some cash while having fun, TransLink has a new promotion at the Vancouver PNE that might appeal to you.
Vancouver’s 2026 PNE Fair is currently running until Sept. 7. Entrance tickets for adults are $20 if bought in advance, and $25 at the gate. This doesn’t include access to Playland’s rides, which cost an additional $50.
But if you decide to visit the PNE on Friday, Aug. 28 and on Friday, Sept. 4, you could get a pretty good deal. The first 5,000 guests can get two-for-one admission by showing proof of a same-day transit fare.
TransLink said that acceptable proof includes your Compass Card, Compass products, printed Compass tickets, or a mobile fare product (like a tap from a debit card, credit card, or digital wallet).
How do you get to the PNE by transit?
The R5, 14, 16, 210, and 211 bus routes will all take you to bus stops near the PNE grounds.
If you’re taking the SkyTrain, there is a special express service that runs every 15 minutes, making just three stops, and finishing at the Pacific Coliseum near the PNE fair. You can ride the #16 PNE from 29th Avenue Station or Renfrew Station.
TransLink encourages people to check out its presence at the PNE, including by visiting the Transit Museum Society’s Heritage Bus, which has a timeline of public transit in Metro Vancouver, riding the TransLink-themed PNE Express train, and visiting the TransLink Activation area for giveaways and a photobooth.
On Fridays, TransLink staff and ambassadors will also be at the gates “ready to help you get where you need to go.”
