Country Celebration at Campbell Valley Regional Park

What: Celebrate the 40th anniversary of Country Celebration and Campbell Valley Regional Park. Explore nature, heritage and agriculture with live music and animals, a marketplace, food trucks, homesteading demos, and a nature quest in the giant straw maze. Bring your mug and bags.

RBC GranFondo Whistler 2019

What: RBC GranFondo Whistler is North America’s largest amateur cycling event covering three different distances: 55 km, Medio; 122 km, Gran Fondo; and 152 km, Forte. This year, GranFondo Whistler celebrates its 10th anniversary on September 7 and it’s a UCI Gran Fondo World Series event.

Piper Spit Bird Count

What: ​Bring your binoculars and join a park interpreter to watch the seasonal changes of birds at Burnaby Lake. Ages 15 and up.

Terry Fox Run

What: The Terry Fox Run is a non-competitive event where people get together as individuals, families, and groups to raise money for cancer research in Terry’s name. Everyone is welcome to participate, regardless of age, athletic ability, or socio-economic standing. While the Run does not have an entry fee or minimum donation, all participants are asked to fundraise or make a donation.

Chilliwack Sunflower Festival 2019

What: Stroll through more than five acres of sunflowers in bloom. On-leash pets will also be welcome, with a dedicated drinking area and complimentary pick-up bags on-site. Attractions include 20-acres filled with giant sunflowers, a one-acre show garden with 15 varieties of sunflowers, photo-ops with swing sets, lawn games, local food trucks and more.

RiverFest 2019

What: The 17th annual RiverFest is inspired by the Fraser River, and is in celebration of BC and World Rivers Day. There will be events throughout the week, with a main festival on September 21 with a family fun zone, live entertainment, an artisans marketplace, parade and more.

Fishy Finale

2019 Vancouver AIDS WALK

What: The annual AIDS WALK celebrates people living with HIV, memorializes those who have passed, and raises funds to support low income people living with HIV in BC via the Community Health Fund.

Bowen Island Sea Kayaking

What: Bowen Island Sea Kayaking offers rentals and guided tours from two hours to multi-day, allowing you to explore beautiful Bowen Island and Howe Sound on the water.
