World Wetland’s Day at MacKay Pond

What: A maintenance and clean-up of MacKay Pond for World Wetland’s Day. Wear clothing appropriate for the weather. Tools will be provided.

Winter Watershed Snowshoe Tours

What: Explore the connection between snow and your drinking water.  Learn about your water supply in a fun and active way while discovering alpine plants and animals. After a moderately strenuous snowshoe, warm up with a cup of hot chocolate. This event is for ages 16+.

Owl Walk

What: Whooo can see in the dark and fly on silent wings? Listen for owls and other night sounds on this winter night 3.5 km walk. All ages.

Full Moon Snowshoe Tours at Grouse Mountain

What: Explore the mountains after dark. Grouse Mountain’s snowshoe guides will take you on a journey to their favourite places to explore the night sky. The experience begins by travelling through the Light Walk, before heading into the wilderness lit by headlamps.

Velo Voyages: An Evening of Bike Touring Talks

What: Sidesaddle is hosting a fun free social evening for folks who are interested in touring. Whether you’re a veteran world traveller or someone just interested in the idea, come by and listen to some of their customers share stories and photos from their favourite tours all around the world, with plenty of time for chatting and questions. Sidesaddle is providing the wine and snacks, you bring your questions, ideas, and experiences.

RunGo Dash for Dogs

What: A guided 10km, 5km or 2km run or walk through Stanley Park with 100% of the proceeds going to BC and Alberta Guide Dogs. After the run there will be a social event with pancakes, prizes, and good tunes. This is a race for people to support dogs, you don’t need a dog to run. Guide dogs and good dogs are welcome, dogs must be on leash and under control at all times for the safety of the working guide dogs.
