What: Bowen Island Sea Kayaking offers rentals and guided tours from two hours to multi-day, allowing you to explore beautiful Bowen Island and Howe Sound on the water. They also offer kayaking and paddleboard lessons as well as Paddle Canada certifications. You can also join their popular sunset and full moon tours. Have kids that are interested in kayaking? MEC x VMF Run The Murals and Afterparty

What: Art + Running + Party? MEC and VMF team up for a creatively-inspiring, sweat-inducing Friday night. Grab your running buddies, kids, and friends, and sign up for the inaugural MEC x VMF Run the Murals night! The curated runs feature 2 km and 5 km routes highlighting some of Mount Pleasant’s best public art, followed by an After Party with food and drinks at the VMF Gallery.

This first run of the series is in collaboration with Fraser Street Run Club. Get set for what may be your most colourful (art-filled) run ever! Everyone is welcome. Space is limited. Registration is online.

Peak Yoga at Grouse Mountain

What: Grouse Mountain and YYOGA present Peak Yoga every Saturday in the Plaza at the top of Grouse Mountain, outside the Chalet. Stretch it out after hiking up the grind, or take the Skyride up for the class.

Campbell Valley Nature Walks Damsels and Dragons: Inhabitants of the Pond

Meteor Shower Watch

What: The Meteor Shower Watch at Aldergrove Regional Park features lantern-lit trails, games, crafts, blacklight theatres and fun activities from Science World, HR Macmillan Space Centre, Langley Environmental Partners Society, and more. Camp overnight for the full star-gazing experience. Presented with Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. This is an all ages event.

Forest Therapy Walk at VanDusen Botanical Garden

What: ​Certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide Ken Ouendag will lead a meditative and gentle walk through VanDusen Botanical Garden. Learn the basics of Forest Bathing, inspired by the Japanese tradition of Shinrin-Yoku. Health benefits including stress reduction, improved wellbeing, and boosted energy.

Wings over Iona
