Music video pays homage to famous movies shot in Vancouver (VIDEO)

A local musician’s ode to Vancouver includes some very creative costume changes and famous movie locations.

Thomas Gowan, aka mASCOT, just released a music video for his song “Vancouver Hustle.”

The video features famous characters from TV shows and movies that were filmed around Vancouver, such as Deadpool, Happy Gilmore, Riverdale, Twilight and Tron: Legacy.

All characters were played by Gowan, who says he purchased the costumes from Spirit Halloween, Amazon, and Etsy.

You may find some notable locations such as the Georgia Viaduct from Deadpool or the grandma’s house from Happy Gilmore.

Filmed in just three days, Gowan explains that the video “is very much an ode to the city, both lyrically and in the visual storytelling, referencing many films and shows that [have] been shot here.”
