Vancouver-based mining firm says 10 people 'taken' from Mexico site

A Vancouver-based mining firm has shared some news about an incident that took place at a project site in Concordia, Mexico.

According to Vizsla Silver Corp., which is located on Burrard Street inside Bentall Centre, ten individuals were taken from the project site.

Vizsla says that the incident is under investigation and information about it “remains limited.”

“Local authorities have been notified, and the Company’s crisis management and security response teams are actively engaged. The Company’s immediate priority is the safety and wellbeing of the individuals involved,” Vizsla shared in a release on Jan. 29.

In addition, as a precautionary measure, Vizsla says certain activities “at and near the site” are being suspended.
