Two prominent Vancouver landmarks are lighting up yellow Tuesday night for Endometriosis Awareness month.

Endometriosis is a painful condition where the tissue lining the uterus grows abnormally. It affects about one million Canadians, and March is its dedicated awareness month.

“We are glowing yellow tonight … an opportunity to honour, inspire, and support one another while raising vital awareness for endometriosis,” The Vancouver Convention Centre said in a tweet.

The Endometriosis Network Canada was involved in co-ordinating the light displays, and invites Canadians to learn more about the disorder and how to seek help on its website.
