Vancouver residents play ice hockey on city streets (VIDEO)

Sure the streets are icy. Sure what was once a casual walk is now akin to an arctic expedition where poles, spikes, and a week’s supply of rations are required just to get to the end of your block.

But as the saying goes: when life gives you lemons make lemonade. Or, as the Canadian version should probably state, when life gives you ice, play hockey.

Or at least that’s the positive message we’re choosing to take from this video from Jennifer Wolf, which shows a group of Vancouver neighbours taking to the streets in their skates for an impromptu game of hockey.
