A Vancouver home with some eye-catching design elements and amenities has been listed for a whopping $28 million, one of the most expensive listings on the market.

Located at 4850 Fannin Ave. near the University Endowment Lands and walking distance to Vancouver’s best beaches, the home features six bedrooms and eight bathrooms spread across three floors.

The 9,245 sq. ft. property also features its own caretaker studio for “additional space for a growing family.”

The listing suggests that the home is located on an “iconic street” north of 4th Avenue in Point Grey.

According to the listing, the primarily concrete-finished Vancouver home is 16 years old and was listed just this week. The property also offers views of the mountains, the water, and the City of Vancouver.

BC Assessment currently has the value of the home listed at $18,263,000, with $10,345,000 of that attributed to the land value.

The Vancouver home has some standout areas, like the massive kitchen that would be an entertainer’s dream.

Almost every room also features views of beautiful Vancouver.

You’d probably expect a swimming pool, considering the price. While that isn’t on offer, there is a large backyard area with a hot tub.

Still, the listing says the home leaves “nothing to be desired.”

The listing says that the home was built by GWilson Construction, which “still maintains the home today, [and] provides peace of mind.”

It adds that the home was designed to maximize the garden and ocean views, while the interior of the home “exudes quiet luxury and comfort.”

Each bedroom also includes its own ensuite and outdoor sitting area.

REW’s sales history for the address is quite the contrast to the current asking price and speaks to how much real estate in Metro Vancouver has changed.

The last time a property was sold at the address was back in 1991, when whatever was there before sold for $2,308,000. Before that, in 1981, it sold for $875,000, and in 1979, it sold for $325,000.
