Police urging driver to come forward after fatal hit-and-run in Vancouver

The Vancouver Police are urging for a driver to come forward after a fatal hit-and-run that took place earlier today.

The incident occurred just after 3 am when a passerby notified police of a pedestrian who appeared to have been struck and seriously injured.

The body was found on Kingsway near Glenn Drive.

A 39-year-old Vancouver man was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after. At this point in time, the individual’s name has not been made public.

Information gathered by the police so far indicates that the vehicle was heading eastbound on Kingsway when it struck the pedestrian and then left the scene.

The vehicle is believed to have front-end damage, including a broken headlight.
