Halloween is coming up quickly, and the Vancouver weather forecast indicates that it could be a wet one.
If you were planning to head to an event or to take your kiddos out for trick-or-treating, you’ll want to get some waterproof shoes on to keep those socks dry.
While the sun will make an appearance according to Environment and Climate Change Canada’s (ECCC) seven-day forecast, it’s going to be a wet week overall.

The sun made an appearance on Monday in some parts of Metro Vancouver, but ECCC predicts that the rainy weather that was kicked off by a weakening atmospheric river last week will continue on Tuesday.
There’s no rain in the forecast for Wednesday, and ECCC says Vancouver residents can expect cloudy weather in the day and cloudy periods overnight. The primary dose of sunshine this week is forecast for Thursday, with sunny skies in the day and a high of 11˚C; however, the rain returns Thursday overnight, bringing us to Halloween.
ECCC forecasts rain on Friday, both in the day and overnight, with a high of 11˚C and a low of 7˚C overnight.
And on the weekend? You guessed it: more rain.
While ECCC doesn’t have any predictions for how windy it’s going to be on Friday, it could be a blustery 24 hours, with wind gusts up to 50 km/h forecast for Tuesday.
Still, ECCC does say it will be “windy” on Friday, without any speed estimates.
