The demolition of on Robson & Granville left the best part of this 1920’s sign clear for all to see. These signs are dubbed “ghost signs”. The sign is advertising the silent film called Grandma’s Boy which ran at the Capitol Theatre across the street. My favourite part of the sign is the finger pointing with the words “Capitol, over there”.
Update: The Vancity Theatre will be showing “Grandma’s Boy” one night only on Wednesday, March 14 at 7:00pm. Tickets are available online through the VIFF box office.
