Showers may put damper on some long weekend plans in Vancouver forecast
The Labour Day forecast is upon us, but you may want to keep an umbrella nearby if you have outdoor plans in Vancouver to start it off.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), clouds will begin forming on Friday, Sept. 4. Temperatures will remain warm at 20°C, and the UV index will max out at five or moderate.
However, temperatures will cool off to 13°C, with a 40 per cent chance of showers overnight in the region.

“While it should be clear to start the weekend, there is still a chance of showers due to continuous troughing, cooler air and moisture,” explained ECCC meteorologist Chloe Katsademas.
“September will see similar flow patterns, with a few days of improvement followed by a few days of showers.”
Sunshine is set to return on Sunday, Sept. 6, but clouds are expected to roll back the same evening and stick around through to Thursday, Sept. 10.
The daytime highs for the next week will hover between 20°C and 21°C, with overnight lows bouncing between 12°C and 14°C.
