Vancouver, it seems summer is finally here.

That means it’s time to celebrate, and what better way to do that than eat and drink the delicious offerings from bars and restaurants around the city and beyond?

1. Coal Harbour Liquor Store Spring Patio Tasting

Taking place on on the waterfront patio at Dockside Restaurant, Coal Harbour Liquor Store’s 3rd annual Spring Patio Tasting will include over 20 suppliers pouring an irresistible selection of international and BC wines, alongside carefully-selected BC craft beers, ciders, and spirits. 2. Free Rosé Tasting

June is Rosé month and Wines of Provence kicks-off this celebration with a free tasting of Provence Rosés at the 39th & Cambie Signature Liquor Store on June 3. This free tasting features Wines of Provence Rosés from appellations including Côtes de Provence, Côteaux Varois en Provence and Côteaux d’Aix-en-Provence. Provence-inspired canapés will be provided by Chef Dino Renaerts of Bon Vivant Catering Group to showcase the art and beauty of Provence.

3. Vancouver Craft Beer Week

Raise a glass to craft beer in all its ways and glory at Vancouver Craft Beer Week (VCBW). Although things already kicked off on May 26, there’s something for everyone this whole week, including the big weekend-long tasting fest on the PNE grounds June 3 and 4.

4. Spot Prawn Boil Series at YEW seafood + bar

On Sunday, June 4 head to YEW to enjoy a family style-Spot Prawn Boil Dining Series. Guests will get a special YEW bib to keep, along with a complimentary glass of CedarCreek Chardonnay with the feast.

5. The Cascade Room’s Main Street Cup ll

The Cascade Room is hosting the second Main Street Cup, a bi-annual cocktail tournament open to any bar within a one-block radius of Main Street, from Crab Park to Marine Drive. The Cascade Room will select a maximum of ten mixologists to submit their own signature cocktail using The Botanist Gin and a mandatory foraged ingredient for their cocktail from anywhere on Main Street. Local band, Bonfire Ballerina, will be performing following the competition around 7:30 pm.

8. Farmer’s Apprentice Welcomes Guest Chef Jesse McCleery

This month’s collaborative dinner at Farmer’s Apprentice pairs Chef David Gunawan and Jesse McCleery of Galiano Island’s Pilgrimme restaurant for a dinner made with local ingredients. This event features a six-course menu with wine pairings.

9. Fly By at Back and Forth Bar

For this event the The Firehall Art Centre brings together restaurants, craft brewers, small-batch distillers, and performers for an exciting celebration. Patrons can expect offerings from establishments like The Diamond, Deacon’s Corner, Clough Club, Tuc Craft Kitchen, Kofta Meatball Kitchen, Save On Meats, The Pint, and Cadeaux Bakery, along with a silent auction and music.

15. Turtle Valley Bison Ranch Fest

Turtle Valley Bison Company is hosting a day full of food and fun out at the ranch in Turtle Valley, BC. Day admission (11 am  to 4 pm) includes a ticket for the bison burger lunch, access to guided ranch tours, cooking demos by Vancouver guest chefs, a local vendors market, and more. The evening festival admission (4 to 10 pm) includes a bison dinner showcase from three BC chefs, music from Western Canadian bands, and local beers and wines.

16. Greasy Spoon Diner Vol. 28

Get your tickets to this one of a kind charity event that will be featuring Chef Chris Whittaker’s (Forage, Timber) set menu inspired by diner food. Enjoy cocktails, craft beer, and wine. Money from the Greasy Spoon Diner series goes towards A Better Life Foundation , which aims to empower those struggling with addictions and mental illness.
