An electrifying expo is expected to attract up to 30,000 attendees this weekend at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

Over 100 exhibitors and 30 automakers will be on-site at the Everything Electric expo, which kicks off tomorrow, Sept. 5, and runs until Sunday, Sept. 7.

Organizers have shared some key event details with Daily Hive, and it sounds like there will be lots to see, do and drive. BC Hydro, which is one of the event’s sponsors, is also expected to make a special announcement at the event on Friday morning.

For those interested in electric vehicles, this event will be a dream come true. Many EVs will be on display, including the Canadian debut of the 2026 Nissan Leaf. GM will also have several vehicles on display, including the Sierra Denali EV.

If you’re interested in getting behind the wheel of an EV at the event, there will be over 50 available to test drive.

“Everything Electric CANADA will host the largest all-electric test drive program ever held in Canada, also including e-bikes, scooters, and more on the Micro-Mobility Test Track,” organizers told Daily Hive.

“The event will also feature over 100 exhibitors showcasing the latest EVs, clean technologies, and smart home energy solutions, alongside 30+ live theatre sessions and panel discussions exploring EV ownership, home energy efficiency, and the broader energy transition.”

Tickets for the event are still available for purchase, and you can choose between a multi-day package or a single-day pass. General Admission for a single day is $32.50, and tickets for children aged 0-15 are available at no charge.

While the event is technically classified as an expo, the expected number of attendees rivals the largest convention Vancouver saw earlier this year.

In July of this year, Alcoholics Anonymous held a convention at the Vancouver Convention Centre, which was declared to be the biggest in the city’s history after it welcomed around 35,000 attendees.

Everything Electric also hosts events in other cities, including London, Farnborough, Melbourne and Sydney.

Needless to say, you should pack your patience if you’re in the Vancouver Convention Centre area this weekend.
