Comics, Art, and Storytelling with Lindsay Wong

  • What: Inclusive Community Artist-in-Residence Lindsay Wong presents a free, drop-in storytelling and writing workshop. Everyone is welcome to attend, regardless of writing experience or ability. Bring your story ideas and work in a creative and supportive environment. Snacks are provided.

Haunted Vancouver Trolley Tour

  • What: Hosted by Westcoast Sightseeing, guests are invited to ride a San Francisco-style trolley to some of Vancouver’s eeriest and most bone-chilling locations. Highlighted spots of the tour include Gastown’s “blood alley,” Stanley Park, the Vancouver Police Museum, and the Mountain View Cemetery, among others. Scary stories of some of Vancouver’s most famous landmarks will be shared, like the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver’s lady in red, the babes in the woods at Stanley Park, and the Castelanni Milkshake Murder.

The Ones We Leave Behind

Speakeasy Soirée – 90th Anniversary Celebration

  • What: Family Services of Greater Vancouver celebrates its 90th Anniversary. Step back in time to a 1920s speakeasy at the Terminal City Club for a cocktail-style fundraising event. Featuring live music, roaming entertainment, silent and live auctions, all while you discover international wines with fellow supporters of FSGV.

Mission Nightmare Haunted House

  • What: Mission Nightmare Haunted House is presented by Mission Station #3 Fire Fighters Association and run by volunteers from the neighbourhood and sponsored by area businesses. The spooky haunted house is full of members of the community in costume and working behind the scenes, and proceeds from sales benefit local charities.
