Festival of Ocean Films – Vancouver
What: Georgia Strait Alliance presents the 10th annual Festival of Ocean Films. Screenings in Vancouver happen on June 5 and 6 in celebration of World Oceans Day, with a variety of short films and Q&A with the filmmakers as well.

Trial by Media: 2019 Speaker Series
What: Vancouver Police Museum & Archives’ 7th annual Speaker Series. Go behind the headlines and discover what really happened inside Vancouver’s most notorious scandals, murders and sensational stories as told by local authors, historians, officers and professors. All tickets come with free admission to the museum on the day of the presentation, plus a 2 for 1 admission coupon given upon check-in at the front desk.

I Heart Yaletown 6th Annual Community BBQ
Roundhouse Arts & Recreation Centre / City of Vancouver
What: Head to the Roundhouse’s Turntable Plaza on Davie Street for a community BBQ. Many local community businesses and partners come together to celebrate the Yaletown community. Includes free BBQ, fruit and drinks, hosted by Urban Fare, bike registry with Vancouver Police Department, tour a Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services fire engine, live music, arts and crafts, and more.
