  • What: A Hatha Yoga style class designed for all levels of fitness. Bring a mat, water bottle, and towel. Classes are held weather permitting and advance registration is required.

Vancouver Women in Tech Week – BCIT Luncheon

Vancouver Quidditch League

  • What: Yes, you too can catch the Golden Snitch, as part of the Vancouver Quidditch League (VQL). The sessions are open to anybody ages 16+ and no previous experience needed. The league runs until August 8, and there will be drop-in sessions all summer.
  • When: Alternating Tuesdays (Central Park in Burnaby) and Wednesdays (Connaught Park in Vancouver) until August 8, 2018

Pies of Summer

  • What: Bake the best pies with the most flavourful fruits of the summer! The recipes demonstrated are Tomato Tarte Tatin, Peach and Strawberry Lattice Pie, and a Mini Blueberry Pie you’ll make yourself to take home. One glass of wine included.

L’Abattoir Guest Chef Dinner: ‘From Australia to Canada’s Rocky Mountains and West Coast’

  • What: L’Abattoir chef and owner Lee Cooper will host Australian chef Mark Best (San Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants), alongside Calgary-based chef Darren MacLean of Shokunin for a spectacular six-course dinner with wine pairings on Wednesday, June 13 at 6:30 pm. The guest chef dinner will be held in L’Abattoir’s private room, tucked away in a refurbished 19th-century brick-and-beam heritage building located behind the main dining room.

Tigers Be Still

  • What: Tigers Be Still is a comedy that follows the misadventures of Sherry Wickman, a young woman who recently earned her master’s degree in art therapy only to find herself moving back home. Unemployed and overwhelmed, Sherry retreats to her childhood bed and remains there until an unexpected employment opportunity gives her a renewed sense of purpose and hope.
