Free Walking Tours with Tour Guys Vancouver
What: Vancouver’s original and top-rated walking tour company, Tour Guys offers free historical walking tours throughout the city. Tours run daily until the end of October in Gastown, Downtown, Chinatown, and Granville Island. These tours promise to be an engaging, entertaining, and informative time.

Spooktober – Dare to Laugh
What: Spooktober is Vancouver TheatreSports’ seasonal comedy celebration of all things eerie. Check out Monster Matches, Cult Fiction, and Kreepy Kitty leading up to the big day, and Halloween Howl on October 26.

Steveston Scarecrow Crawl
What: Throughout the month of October, Steveston Village in Richmond is being taken over by scarecrows for the annual Steveston Scarecrow Crawl. Dozens of scarecrows are the first point of contact outside many of the village’s merchants, and the best scarecrow will win a $1000 prize based on Richmond celebrity judges voting. Perfect for autumn selfies.

Weapon of Choice: Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse
What: This exhibit transports you to a world where the zombie apocalypse has descended upon the city of Vancouver and you and your friends are trapped in The Vancouver Police Museum.
Luckily, this museum has a large weapons collection from which you’ll need to select a tool of defence against the zombies. Peruse the available guns, bats, and blow darts and make your choice. However, attendees are advised to choose wisely, as “not all weapons guarantee your survival,” according to the museum.
When: Tuesdays to Saturdays until the end of October 2019

Helly Hansen Clearance Sale
What: Norwegian brand Helly Hansen is having a huge pre-winter clearance sale at their Queensborough Landing store in New West until Thursday, October 31. Expect 50% to 80% off top-of-the-range, all-weather apparel for men and women such as jackets, base layers, pants, and accessories available.

Tours for the Recently Deceased
What: The Beaumont Studios Artist Society and The Dusty Flowerpot Cabaret present Tours for the Recently Deceased. Meet many of Tim Burton’s iconic characters and creations while you explore two buildings on an interactive and branching tour. Then dance the night away to MC Beetlejuice.

Ghost Town
What: Port Moody’s Resident Artist Sara Graham leads attendees in building spooky characters and structures in Ghost Town, a shadow-based art project. Presented by the Port Moody Arts Centre and the City of Port Moody. Bring a flashlight to help create the art.
