Caviar Festival at Ancora
What: Ancora’s fourth annual Caviar Festival kicks off on November 6. Executive Chef Ricardo Valverde and Sushi Chef Yoshihiro Tabo have crafted an elegant ensemble of caviar menu items inspired by Ancora’s Peruvian-Japanese concept, available until November 27.

The Great Canadian Songbook rides again
What: The Great Canadian Songbook features performers Ken Lavigne, Tiller’s Folly and Diyet, and combines stories and music to provide the audience a stylistic overview of Canada’s greatest hits. Featuring the music by Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Barenaked Ladies, and more, as well as original songs by the Great Canadian Songbook performers.

Learn to make Turducken

Meat & Bread’s Turducken Sandwich (Meat & Bread/Facebook)
What: Get in on the secret of Meat & Bread’s once-a-year to-die-for Turducken sandwich. Chef Nicolas Schneiter will teach you how to debone, roll, and cook this famous Meat & Bread Turducken that has taken over social media and has people lining up the streets. Leave the class with a happy belly when you enjoy a family-style Turducken dinner with seasonal sides and tasty beverages, served after all the learning is done.

Ethnobotany Walk in the Tropics
What: Head to Bloedel Conservatory for a walk through a warm mini rainforest, led by Education Director, Gillian Drake. Enjoy stories of plants and cultures in tropical lands, see plants that we all love to eat and drink, and make the connection between bromeliads and poison-tipped blow darts used for hunting in the jungle. Limited to 12 participants.
