What: Vancouver Maritime Museum hosts a celebration of Canadian Geographic Photographer-in-Residence Scott Forsyth’s new book The Wild Coasts of Canada as well as musician and adventurer David Newland’s CD Northbound: The Northwest Passage in Story and Song.

What: Sasha Velour is the season 9 winner of Rupaul’s Drag Race, the creator of the drag show Nightgowns, and has appeared in Vogue, Vogue Italia, and Plastik Magazine. She brings her Smoke & Mirrors show to Queen Elizabeth Theatre on November 26.

What: On November 26, join Boris Wertz, founding partner of Version One VC, in conversation with Hayley Woodin of Business in Vancouver. Wertz is one of the top early-stage tech investors in North America. He’s a board partner with Andreessen Horowitz and is known for his ability to find the next generation of leaders. Currently, he’s focused on crypto/blockchain, marketplaces, and SaaS.

Before he was an investor, Wertz successfully built AbeBooks.com — an online marketplace for used and out-of-print books, which was later acquired by Amazon. Wertz was a former Pacific Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year and he’s passionate about science, tech, and entrepreneurship. He also sits on community boards and works as a mentor with various tech incubators.

Heritage Christmas
