Currently he’s focused on crypto/blockchain, marketplaces and SaaS.
Before he was an investor, Wertz successfully built AbeBooks.com — an online marketplace for used and out-of-print books, which was later acquired by Amazon.
Wertz was a former Pacific Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year and he’s passionate about science, tech, and entrepreneurship.
He also sits on community boards and works as a mentor with various tech incubators.
