What: Since 1910, millions of guests have enjoyed shows, exhibits, sporting events, amusement rides, concerts, cultural activities and, of course, the annual summer Fair at the PNE. This year features concerts by Billy Idol, TLC, and UB40. Entertainment and attractions include Reveen, a video game exhibit, Knights of Valour Superdogs, PNE Prize Home, and more.

Twilight Tuesdays at Science World

What: Twilight Tuesdays are back at Science World for the summer! Enjoy extended hours and reduced rates from 5 to 9 pm every Tuesday. Explore the exhibits, catch a live science show, view a larger-than-life OMNIMAX film, or check the feature exhibition, A Mirror Maze: Numbers in Nature.

Vancouver Improv Fight Club: Tag Team Turmoil

What: Three epic improv duos will face off at Vancouver Improv Fight Club at Cafe Deux Soleils. Through comedy games, referee challenges, and a VIFC jam, the Hardcore Hilarity champion will be crowned. The winner of the first half will also get to choose the stipulation in the second half of the show.

When: August 27, 2019

CASKAPALOOZA 2019 at CRAFT

What: Head to this summer craft beer sampling event and try 30 unique casks from your favourite local craft breweries. Event tickets are $25 and include 12 sample beer tokens. Partial proceeds will be donated to the YMCA Strong Kids campaign.

Chilliwack Corn Maze

What: This year, the creators of the Chilliwack Corn Maze are paying special tribute to the Canucks 50th anniversary season, with a Canuck-themed maze. In addition to the maze, the farm also features other attractions such as a pumpkin patch, pedal carts, a “giant jumping pillow,” tractor rides, and an indoor hay-bale maze.

From now until September 2, the maze is open Tuesdays to Saturdays from 11 am to 9 pm, and Sundays and holidays from 11 am to 6 pm. From September 3 to September 30, the maze is open Thursdays from 5 pm to 9 pm, Fridays, and Saturdays from 11 am to 9 pm, and Sundays and holidays from 11 am to 6 pm. From October 1 to October 31, the attraction is open Tuesdays to Saturdays from 11 am to 9 pm, and Sundays and holidays from 11 am to 6 pm.

VCC Chef’s Table Pop-Up Restaurant

What: Vancouver Community College’s Culinary Arts program presents the next edition of their pop-up restaurant The Chef’s Table. Enjoy a five-course, fixed menu with optional wine pairings served in an intimate setting with only 20 seats available per night.

Metalmorphosis
