A Canucks-themed corn maze is opening near Vancouver this weekend

Since 1999, the Chilliwack Corn Maze has been inviting people to come get lost –and eventually find their way — amongst the sizeable stalks.

And this Friday, (August 15), the 12-acre attraction is once again set to open for the 2019 season.

Operated by the Bruinsma and Taekema family, the maze was one of the first farms to participate in the growing agri-tourism industry.

Each year features attractions or improvements which are made along with a new maze design to keep the public looking forward to finding out what is new on the farm.

And this year, the creators of the maze are paying special tribute to the Canucks 50th anniversary season, with a Canuck-themed maze.

In addition to the maze, the farm also features other attractions such as a pumpkin patch, pedal carts, a “giant jumping pillow,” tractor rides, and an indoor hay-bale maze.

From August 15 until September 2, the maze is open Tuesdays to Saturdays from 11 am to 9 pm, and Sundays and holidays from 11 am to 6 pm.

From September 3 to September 30, the maze is open Thursdays from 5 pm to 9 pm, Fridays, and Saturdays from 11 am to 9 pm, and Sundays and holidays from 11 am to 6 pm.

From October 1 to October 31, the attraction is open Tuesdays to Saturdays from 11 am to 9 pm, and Sundays and holidays from 11 am to 6 pm.

Tickets for the attraction are $9.75  for children (ages 3 to 14), and $11.75 for adults, (ages 15+)

The farm is located at 41905 Yale Road West, in Chilliwack.
