  • What: Originally a stand-up comedian, Seinfeld was catapulted to stardom in the 90s with the success of his now legendary sitcom Seinfeld. Since the show ended its nine-year run in 1998, Seinfeld returned to stand-up comedy and in 2009, began a successful web series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.

Thursday Artist Talk: Hannah Bennett – “Art and the In-Between”

  • What: In this illustrated talk, Bennett shares her ideas, techniques, wins, and failures in leading an artistic practice. Following her talk, participants are invited to stay for a free mini-workshop on collograph printing where you can make your own textured print using her small etching press.

Artist Salon with Vanessa Lam

What: The Richmond Art Gallery’s Artist Salon is a free monthly program for visual artists to connect, network and learn from each other. This month’s guest artist is Vanessa Lam, who will share the story behind building her art practice in collage and mixed media painting.

  • What: Boston comedian and rapper Michael Christmas brings his Role Model tour to Fortune Sound Club with special guests Game Genies.

Medina After Dark

  • What: Brunch destination Café Medina will light up the night and raise funds for a worthy cause when it hosts the latest chapter of its ‘Medina After Dark’ dinner series. 100% of the proceeds from each $75 ticket to the event — which will see two of Medina’s chefs collaborate on a six-course ‘elements’-themed dinner — will be donated directly to the Vancouver-based Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention Centre of BC, which provides emotional and mental health support services for youth, adults and seniors in distress across the province.
