  • What: This summer Vancouver TheatreSports takes an affectionate and comedic look at what makes Vancouver so unique. In a series of vignettes VTS’s quick-witted improvisers lampoon such local stereotypes as our obsession with fitness, quirky neighbourhoods, and foodie scene that have earned Vancouver its ‘Lotus Land’ nickname.

Slum Village

  • What: Legendary hip-hop group Slum Village bring their old-school funk, and soul-filled hip-hop to Fortune Sound Club. Featuring Star Captains, Ujjy (Holy Sock Gang), and Polar Radio DJs Kutcorners and Nick Wisdom.

Neighbourhood Nights

  • What: Get to know your neighbours at this free family event held at various Coquitlam park locations throughout the summer, with kids’ games, family activities and light refreshments. Be a part of building relationships, promoting neighbourhood safety and creating a sense of community, while getting out to meet your neighbours and ​having fun.

Downtown Farmers’ Market

  • When: Enjoy and explore over 30 farms and producers, food and coffee trucks. Brand new vendors this week include Doremi Blueberry Farm, Golden Meadows Honey Farm, Whipped & Beaten Bakeshop and Craft Grains. And don’t miss Humblebee Meadery and Sons of Vancouver Distillery bringing you some of the finest craft brews in the city.

Flamenco, Tango, Wine in One Night

  • What: The sights, sounds, and sips of Latin America come to Vancouver for one night only with Flamenco, Tango and Wine in One Night. Join in on a celebration of Argentinian wine and award-winning entertainment presented by Latincouver in collaboration with Flamenco Rosario. The event was sold out in 2017.

VSO presents Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

  • What: The VSO will perform the musical scores from the film series with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix – the fifth installment of the movie series – with music composed by Nicholas Hooper. Those who attend this concert series will be able to view the film on a high-definition screen while theme songs from the movie are performed live.
