Commercial Drive Car-Free Day Festival 2018

  • What: Commercial Drive Car-Free Day Festival stretches across 15 blocks, and features amazing local artisans, musicians, community activities, delicious food, tons of entertainment, and activities for all ages.

Sunday Afternoon Salsa at Robson Square 2018

  • What: Now in its 12th year, Sunday Afternoon Salsa at Robson Square is an annual series of free, outdoor salsa dances held at Robson Square in downtown Vancouver during the summer months of July and August. Try the beginner dance lessons at 3 pm and 7 pm, watch the performances at 5 pm, or check out the social dancing throughout the afternoon.

Music in the Square

  • What: Music in the Square features the finest professional musicians from across Metro Vancouver, playing a variety of genres including jazz, pop, rock, blues, folk, world fusion, and contemporary. This is a rain or shine event.

Symphony in the Park 2018

Brunch Affair

Skinny Legends: An Evening with Stacy Layne Matthews

  • What: A magical evening of drag and community starring Stacy Layne Matthews aka The Henny, a standout contestant on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 3. Joining Stacy onstage are Rose Butch, Maiden China (Kendell Yan), Karmella Barr, Kebby, Anne Xiety, Jerrilynn Spears (Cam Dienstbier), Lamè (Tyler Korst-MacDonald), Delica Cee, Shanda Leer, and host Dust.

  • What: Tsawwassen Mills’ LEGO Block Party spans 10 days of interactive play and inspiring displays of LEGO engineering. There will be a huge play space to forge your own creations and even a safe matted area equipped with bigger LEGO blocks designed for curious toddlers. There will be no shortage of inspiration for your own creations as this block party is immersed in impressive LEGO models from LEGO Canada and other creations from local LEGO clubs. Plus, kids can participate in mini-building contests on weekends, for fun LEGO giveaways.

Goat Yoga at Maplewood Farms

  • What: Maplewood Farms will be hosting 9 am weekend goat yoga classes taught by Kelli Sroka. Classes will take place on a grassy paddock. Guests should bring their own yoga mats and don’t wear designer gear as it’s going to get a bit muddy with the grass and goats. Selfies with the goats are encouraged so get ready to strike a pose. And if you need some new threads for those photos, goat yoga t-shirts are available to purchase online.

Top Calves Canada x S01 E01

  • What: Chef Mark Singson from Top Chef Canada is having a dinner party, and you’re invited. The four-part bi-weekly dinner series called ‘Top Calves Canada’ kicks off on July 8 from 6 to 9 pm. Each evening will feature a different menu, but all of the dinners will offer ‘cheeky snacks,’ bread and condiments, a six-course dinner, and a special treat to take home. There will also be a cash bar available.
