Eastside Culture Crawl 2019
What: A four-day visual arts, design and crafts festival showcasing over 450 artists in 68 buildings throughout Vancouver’s Eastside. Meet emerging and internationally established artists working in a variety of disciplines, including painting, photography, sculpture, glassblowing, and more.

Afro-Latin Mix Night at the Orpheum
What: Afro-Latin Mix Night gives concert-goers a taste of Latin American rhythms and different kinds of music from Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, and Peru. The special performer of the night will be Celso Machado, a Brazilian-born and Gibsons-based musician who has won a Leo Award for Best Score for Documentary and a Canadian Folk Music Award for World Solo Artist of the Year.
Afro-Latin Mix Night will also include a number of bands such as Breaking Boundaries from Colombia, Brejera from Brazil, PeruVan from Peru, Kutupira from Cuba, and Grupo America, who will be representing Latin America with dances.

CF Pacific Centre Christmas tree Lighting
What: On Thursday, November 14, CF Pacific Centre will celebrate its annual Christmas tree lighting at Rotunda Plaza. According to CF Pacific Centre, attendees will be given a special gift and be able to enjoy live musical performances by Top Line Vocal Collective Choir, DJ Raven Landry, and Kiss Radio personality Tara Jean. New holiday decor is also being introduced at the shopping centre this season.
The mall will also be offering “exclusive promotions with select retailers.” Not to mention, the 42-foot-tall Christmas tree is one of the tallest in Vancouver.

Lights of Hope 2019 Fireworks & Display Launch
What: St. Paul’s Foundation marks the launch of its seasonal hospital lights display with a free event at the intersection of Burrard Street and Helmcken Street that includes a fireworks display from the hospital rooftop. There will also be food trucks and carollers to add to the festivities. The lighting ceremony will see the building glow with over 100,000 bright lights, and more than 200 shining stars. New to the display this year is the Living Light, an interactive art piece that gives everyone the opportunity to light a star themselves.
The community celebration Thursday marks the beginning of the Lights of Hope campaign, which raises funds to support the greatest needs of patients, residents and caregivers at St. Paul’s Hospital, Mount Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Providence Health Care’s seniors care homes.

McArthurGlen Vancouver Sparkle All The Way
What: A massive Christmas tree will light up McArthurGlen as the outlet mall hosts its biggest-ever Sparkle All The Way event. Along with a 52-foot Christmas tree (one of the tallest in Metro Vancouver) and 275,000 LED lights, the outlet mall will be decked out in a variety of holiday decorations and ornaments.
The free event will include a number of family-friendly activities such as live carolling, letters to Santa, a performance from The Showstoppers, and the lighting of the Christmas tree with the help of Santa himself. There will also be exclusive sales for one night only from brands like Adidas, Coach, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger and more. McArtherGlen Outlet notes that the event will take place rain or shine.
