What: The 52nd Vancouver Chinatown Spring Festival Celebration is happening on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026, the sixth day of the Lunar New Year.

The popular event is expected to draw over 5,000 participants and more than 100,000 spectators to the historic neighbourhood, with family-friendly activities, live entertainment, and more for everyone to enjoy.

Vancouver Career Fair and Training Expo Canada

What: Career Fair and Training Expo Canada is taking place at Pan Pacific Vancouver on Thursday, Feb. 19.

Megadeth

What: Thrash metal legends Megadeth are bringing their farewell tour to Abbotsford’s Rogers Forum with Anthrax and Exodus this February. The Grammy winners will also be releasing their final album just a few weeks before their Metro Vancouver show.

An Evening with David Letterman and Special Guest Zach Galifianakis

What: Emmy Award-winning talk show host David Letterman is making his Just For Laughs debut in Vancouver as part of the 10th annual comedy fest. It will be his first show in Canada in nearly 50 years.

Also on the bill at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on Wednesday, Feb. 18, is a legendary comedian in his own right, Zach Galifianakis.

Family Day Reflections of Vancouver’s Black History

What: The Fade To Black Entertainment Society Black History Month event is a celebration of some of Vancouver’s local Black business and cultural trailblazers.

The event will honour Andre of Riddim & Spice Restaurant and his 40 years on Commercial Drive. Guests will also dance to DJ Earl Da Pearl, take in a performance by Phyllis Adelyne, and hear from special guest keynote speakers.

There will also be a tasty meal, door and raffle prizes, and more to enjoy.

What: Seventeen Business Improvement Associations (BIAs) of Vancouver have come together to help you show love to your city and to the many fantastic small businesses that make this place so amazing.

The annual February contest is all about love in Vancouver, B.C. And this year, everyone is invited to rediscover and reconnect with the city by playing tourist for the month. So, get out those cameras, maps and passports and fall in love with Vancouver all over again.

Along the way, maybe meet a new friend, call up someone to head to a neighbourhood with or text a friend who’s far away with a “wish you were here.” It’s all about reconnecting with the city and the people you love.

Ebony Roots is visiting eight communities across the province during Black History Month, including stops at Coquitlam’s Evergreen Theatre on Feb. 19 and Vancouver’s Roundhouse Community Centre on Feb. 20.

Odds with special guests Strippers Union

Family Day Weekend at Grouse Mountain

What: Grouse Mountain invites all ages to enjoy its Family Day Weekend, where children ages 12 and under receive free mountain admission and lift tickets.

There will be daily family activities from Saturday to Monday, including crafts, owl talks, and a scavenger hunt with a prize draw entry. You can even go on family snowshoe tours (bookings required), and check out the fireworks display on Sunday at 6 p.m.

Other fun activities include a DJ skate party on Sunday from 2 to 7 p.m., an outdoor pancake breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. by donation to Family Services of the North Shore, and a hockey shoot-out at the Mountaintop Skating Pond from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

What: Cardi B will touchdown in Vancouver’s Rogers Arena at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 21, 2026, as part of the Little Miss Drama Tour.

The tour is in support of Cardi B’s second studio album, Am I the Drama?, which came out in September. She is also the first solo female artist in Grammy history to win the Best Rap Album award.

Lunar New Year at Museum of Surrey

What: The Museum of Surrey, in partnership with the Chinese Village Club, hosts a free Lunar New Year event on Feb. 21. Check out several live performances, including dragon dance teaching, poetry, dance, tai chi, storytelling and more. Guests will also learn about the history of Lunar New Year as well as Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese cultures.

Ola Dada

What: Nigerian-born, Canada-based comedian Ola Dada is hitting the road this February as part of the Just For Laughs Western Canada Tour, including a major milestone performance in Vancouver on Feb. 20, where he will record his second comedy special.

The host of the 2025 Juno Awards for Comedy Album of the Year was also a runner-up in the SiriusXM Top Comic Competition, a semifinalist on Canada’s Got Talent, and a top finalist in the Seattle International Comedy Competition.

Lights at Lafarge

What: Lights at Lafarge, Metro Vancouver’s largest free outdoor winter lights display, is back again for another holiday season.

The annual tradition illuminates Lafarge Lake in Coquitlam throughout the season, with over 100,000 twinkling lights to enjoy until the end of February. Guests of all ages can explore the outdoor display that wraps its way entirely around the lake, leading them on a 1.2 km loop through themed zones.

Whistler Winter Music Series

What: Season 2 of the Whistler Winter Music Series is going strong until the springtime, with a variety of concerts and venues perfect for epic après-ski vibes.

Saturday, Feb. 21, will feature It’s Murph, AKA Garrett Murphy. He’ll be taking over the GLC with a production of euphoric melodies, edgy basslines, and sonically expansive atmospheres.

ÆON:MODE, AKA JP Orchison, is bringing his Quantum Tour to Après Après for a special 360 set on Friday, Feb. 27.

And Eli Brown will also be making his Whistler debut at GLC on Friday, Feb. 27.

What: The City of Burnaby has a variety of Family Day events lined up, including two skate sessions. Drop by Bill Copeland Sports Centre from 1 to 3:15 p.m. for a family skate, crafts, and face painting.
