Vancouver's 24/7 Christmas radio station returns to airwaves

With just over a month to go until Christmas, holiday jingles are starting to make their way into shopping malls and grocery stores all across Vancouver.

Now, the festive tunes make their annual return with Vancouver’s 24/7 Christmas radio station.

As of Friday afternoon, at 4 pm, 103.5 QMFM will switch to playing “all Christmas, all the time.”

The station has rebranded itself during the holiday season for the past 10 years, with classics from Michael Bublé, Mariah Carey, Elvis, and Wham!, as well as new tunes from Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, and Bryan Adams.

New to the station this year is a Christmas Cash contest, which gives listeners the chance to win $500 cash at 8:05 am, 11:05, and 4:05 pm starting Monday, November 16.

103.5 QMFM joins 104.3 The Breeze, a recently launched radio station that converted to all-Christmas music earlier this week.

“We’re extremely excited to bring back Vancouver’s Christmas Music Station 24 hours a day to our city that needs some cheering up,” said Brad Challoner, Assistant Program Director and Music Director at 103.5 QMFM.

Maybe the holidays aren’t that far off, after all.
