Get your pens and paper ready, because entry is open for the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival’s 2020 Haiku Invitational.
Haikus are a short form of poetry that includes three separate lines with five, seven, and five syllables each. They are often be inspired by particular seasons but can have a variety of approaches.

The top poems of six main categories will receive celebrity readings and be used throughout the 2020 festival, including publication in magazines, the Haiku Canada newsletter, the Haiku Society of America, and publication on the VCBF website.
All participants are welcome, regardless of age and writing ability. Each individual will be able to submit two entries, both in English.
