Vancouver’s annual Cherry Blossom Festival is returning for Spring of 2018.
It’s a celebration of the city’s beautiful pink cherry trees and a welcome sight for winter-weary Vancouverites.
The almost month-long festival takes place from April 3 to 29 and spans across all of Metro Vancouver.
The Cherry Blossom Festival looks to show off close to 40, 000 trees, many of which originated as gifts from Japan. The festival looks to express the city’s gratitude while celebrating the beauty and joy that the blooms with the flowers.
A handful of events across the city will help celebrate the festivities over the course of the month.

- Haiku Invitational

Most events are free to attend, though some involve purchasing a ticket online. Proceeds from the tickets will benefit future versions of the festival.
