From Mexican to Lebanese and everything in between, Vancouver’s historic Commercial Drive neighbourhood offers almost every type of cuisine you can think of. Next time you’re in the area, stop by one of these five spots to fill up for $10 or less.

Bandidas

On the south end of Commercial Drive, this small vegetarian restaurant serves classic Mexican dishes with a creative spin. Mix and match any three tacos for $8.50, or, try any of their all day breakfast dishes for $10 or less.

Cannibal Cafe

Known for their delicious burgers, the Cannibal Cafe serves several diner-style dishes for under $10. Try the Diablo Jalapenos, or the Dog Pops, which is six mini beer battered hot dogs, for $9.95. Or if you’re in the mood for a burger, give the Classic Junior a try for just $7.95.

The Dime

You can’t go wrong at The Dime, where everything on the menu is $5. Yep, you heard that right. Serving classic bar food with everything from quesadillas and calamari, to burgers, salads, and pastas, there’s something for everyone at this busy joint.

La Mezcaleria

A popular restaurant for good reason, the Mezcal serves delicious Mexican fare with a great ambience. We recommend going for happy hour, where you can get an individual serving of the signature Quesito Fundido for $8.

Jamjar

A Lebanese restaurant inspired by Eastern Mediterranean flavours, Jam Jar offers several vegetarian dishes for under $10. Favourites include their classic chickpea or eggplant dips, as well as their falafel and cauliflower wraps.
