The Vancouver Canucks released their regular season schedule today.
The club will open up the season at home against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday, October 7.
This marks the third time in Canucks history the team has started the regular season versus the Oilers. It’s also the third time in the last five seasons fifth that the team has hosted the Oilers in their home opener.
Some of the standout dates from this year’s schedule include the arrival of defending Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins during a five-game home stand on November 4. There’s also a visit from the NHL’s newest team, the Vegas Golden Knights, who will play their first regular season game at Rogers Arena on November 16.
