February is the month of love, and Vancouver’s getting a city-wide makeover to celebrate — and all those hearts aren’t just for decoration.

Love Your City is back for another year, and it’s giving Vancouver residents a chance to win some prizes from some of your favourite local businesses worth over $4,000.

How to enter

All you have to do is head on over to the Love Your City Contest Instagram page and “like” the associated post, in partnership with Vancouver Business Improvement Associations (BIA) like @kitsonbroadway, @westendbia, and many more. 

Then, write a love letter to your favourite neighbourhood, business you love, a community event you love or specific neighbourhood landmark.

You can increase your chances of winning by keeping your eyes peeled for love-themed installations in on of the 15 participating neighbourhoods including Gastown, Robson Street, West 4th Ave, Mount Pleasant and many more to snap the perfect pic to go with your love letter.

These installations will be hard to miss. From iconic Valentine’s Day candy hearts with sweet messages to love-inspired wall murals, these photogenic works of art are definitely grid-worthy.

The list of participating BIAs are on the Love Your City contest’s website, along with the borders of each BIA — so you know exactly where to head.

Each neighbourhood will be running its own individual contests and activations throughout the month as well, so check out their Instagrams for your chance to win one of their own grand prizes, including daily donut giveaways, selfie walls, gift cards giveaways, and more.

The giveaway ends on Friday, February 28, at midnight, so don’t let the clock strike 12 before writing your Cinderella story.
