Vancouver as Seen From Space

Wow, simply wow! This photo taken on February 20, 2010 by Astro_Soichi is simply stunning. The bright lights seen from space give a clear indication of population density of Metro Vancouver. Just look at downtown and the Broadway corridors, that is impressive.

You can clear identify YVR, what looks like No. 3 Road in Richmond and the surrounding Richmond O-zone site. Cypress and Grouse Mountain lights seem to be beaming a bright white glow and the Fraser Valley is all but cast in a dark shadow, as most of it is still transitioning from rural to suburban.

If you look real close, you can get a glimpse of the burning torch at Jack Poole Plaza.
