Vancity Fashion File: The Hunt for Perfect Sunglasses

Dec 19 2017, 12:25 pm

With all the rain lately its hard to believe that summer is just around the corner. Hopefully once June 21st hits there will be no more rain and it’ll be all sun until September! When the sun comes out you should be ready to battle it and look good with a new pair of sunglasses.

Sunglasses come in all shapes and sizes and just like any other type of clothing you have to find the best fit for yourself. The best way to find sunglasses that suit you is to go to a store with a friend (who hopefully has some style) and try all different types on. They also vary in price depending on where you go. You can find sunglasses for as little as $10 a pair and you can also get a pair for $300+.

There are a lot of places to find sunglasses around Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Metrotown would be your best bet for variety. There are lots of stores that carry sunglasses in Metrotown; Fossil, Oakley, and Armani Exchange just to name a few. There is also The Bay and Sears, they carry all different types of brands there. Of course if you’re looking for the more higher end brands Holt Renfrew is the place to go.

The internet is also a great place to look for sunglasses but the hard thing about looking for sunglasses online is the fact that you can’t see how they fit on your face. They could be the nicest looking glasses ever but if they don’t sit well on your face then there is no point in buying them. Always go to a store and physically try on glasses before buying them! If you have to buy a pair online make sure that the site will let you return them. Just in case they don’t look the way you imagined.
