The Canucks came nowhere close to the playoffs this year, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still enjoy the best time of year to be a hockey fan.
Vancity Buzz and OfficePools.com have teamed up for fun way to keep track of the NHL playoffs this spring. I’m talking about a timeless Canadian tradition: the playoff hockey pool.
It’s free to enter, and there are FABULOUS prizes to be won!
The top-3 finishers will take home a prize:
- One night stay at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, RYU Apparel gift card ($200 value), VEGA smoothie pack ($300 value), Notch8 gift card for happy hour ($75 value), Yaletown Keg gift card ($50 value)
- VEGA smoothie pack ($300 value), RYU Apparel gift card ($100 value), Dunsmuir Keg gift card ($50 value)

Vancity Buzz employees are allowed to play (see if you can beat Rob The Hockey Guy), but obviously are ineligible for prizes. We are eligible for bragging rights and trash talk though.
The deadline to enter is 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

We are going with a box pool format where you’ll choose:
- 14 forwards
- 6 defencemen
- 2 goalies (note: choose the team and get any of their goalies)
Points are awarded as follows:
- Goal: 1 point
- Assist: 1 point
- Overtime goal: 1 additional point
- Goalie win: 1 point
- Goalie shutout: 1 additional point
