How to watch the US Presidential Election in Canada

Nov 2 2020, 3:42 pm

Arguably the most significant election day in US history kicks off on November 3.

Our southern neighbours will take to the polls on Tuesday for Election Day 2020, as the debates are done and the clock is winding down.

Tomorrow’s election day will be unlike any other. Besides taking place during a pandemic, it will see Republican incumbent Donald Trump looking to win a second term in office while Democratic challenger Joe Biden hopes to take power and move into the White House by January 2021.

All-day coverage will take place on all the major US news networks, including MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, and Fox News. It will also be live-streamed on C-SPAN.

Major Canadian news networks including CBC, CTV, and Global will also have live coverage.

Voting polls close at various times starting at 7 pm ET on the east coast, while the last polls will close at 1 am ET in Alaska.

Millions of Americans have already voted in person or by mail this year as a result of the pandemic, so it could take more time than usual to tally up all the ballots, especially if the numbers are close.
