Uber Eats launches new pick-up service in Metro Vancouver today

What’s turning out to be a bad week for some food delivery apps is a big one for others.

Hot on the heels of its partnership announcement with OpenTable, Uber Eats has revealed a new service for patrons using its platform in Metro Vancouver.

Starting today, Uber Eats has launched pick-up in Metro Vancouver.

This means folks now have the option to skip the line at their favourite local restaurants by ordering ahead and picking up their meal themselves, aka no more waiting for the delivery person to buzz in.

Customers can order from all the restaurants in the Lower Mainland delivery area that are enrolled. There will be no delivery fees for this pick-up service.

Notable spots offering this service through Uber Eats include Heritage Asian Eatery, JINYA Ramen Bar, Romer’s Burger Bar, Shanghai Lu, and Starbucks.
